Before I get into how awesome the book was, which is was, because Kristen can’t write a bad book, I need to warn you. I’m assuming you’ve read the other Chaos books. I’m assuming you read Motorcycle Man. Something is coming. Something big is coming. If the other Chaos book, you knew it is going to happen. It is all a matter of when. With Walk Through Fire, it built even more. Stuff happened. Not a ton. But enough that you know when it goes down, as a reader, you won’t be able to breathe. You will hold your breath the entire book. You will pass out from the anticipation along with the consequences. When this massive event will happen, only Kristen knows. But fair warning, it’s going to be massive.
Ok. Back to this book. Walk Through Fire is a second chance at love for Millie and High. A love that back in the day was what everyone strived to have. And out of selfishness, Millie ended it. Crushed High. Crushed herself. And then, after seeing him in Chipotle of all places, 20 years later, she knew it was time to come clean. But when she made that decision, she knew, I knew she didn’t expect, what ended up happening, wasn’t what she expected.
