When I heard about From the Wreckage, I couldn’t wait to read it. I love Melissa Collins. I love her writing but that wasn’t the entire reason why I wanted to read it. Just reading the synopsis hooked me. I wanted it then. And when I got it, it didn’t disappoint. In fact, as I read it, I talked to others about it. About how they needed to read it. And you do. If you are going to read one more book for the entire year, read From the Wreckage.
As soon as I finished, From the Wreckage, I messaged Melissa. It had hit me hard. It had made me think. It made me react. Part one was magical. A second chance meeting that lead to a love you don’t always hear or read about. But part 2 had me reacting. It had me hooked. It had me crying. And then it had me believing in love. And how love is never easy and love is never a guarantee but if you work at it hard it hard enough, love will thrive. And even when you don’t remember the love, your heart knows.

When I message Melissa, I joked to her that the only thing I was going to write in my review was “Bitches, read this. You won't regret it. And if you don't read this, I'll come to your house and make you.” And that is still true. I have talked to so many people about this book. About some of the issues I had with it. About what feelings it brought out in me. About memories that it made me think of. But even with all of that, you need to read this. It is a second chance meeting and a second chance romance all rolled into one. It is magic and heartbreak all rolled into one. It is learning that no matter what, the heart knows the truth.
