RoomHate. What to say about RoomHate. I guess I'll jump right in and say I liked. But I didn't love it. The story idea was originally. I did fall in love with the characters and the angst and the love. They alone made this book un-put-downable. I couldn't get enough of the hate that turned to love that turned to family and ever after. But it was the writing that got to me.

After read Stepbrother Dearest, I fell in love with Penelope Ward's writing. But to me, RoomHate fell short. Many times it felt choppy and unorganized. And maybe it was just me who felt that way. Maybe it was because I was reading an ARC. I do want to go back and read the finished project. See if it changes my mind. Because I truly loved everything about this book but the way it was written.

I am still eager to read more from Penelope. She writes books that are unique and draw me in. Her characters are awesome and relatable. Even with not liking the writing, she still made me love 2 characters.

Drift Heat by Adrian R. Hale

Drift Heat had my engines going from page one until the end. Was that corny? A bit but it was the best way to describe it. By the time I finished it, it had made its way to the top of my list of favorite raving books.

Shelby and Griffen had amazing chemistry. The fight between was sizzling and came off the pages with feeling.

Adrian Hale wrote a book that had me looking up drift racing. She brought it off the pages and made me eager for more. She used words that made the track come off the pages and had me feeling the drama, smell the smoke and feel the love between Shelby and Griffen. It was the first book of hers I've read but it made me eager to read more.

Enshrine by Chelle Bliss

Before the ARCs for Enshrine came out, I talked to Chelle Bliss about how much I was looking forward to reading it. I love Chelle's books and her writing but she warned me that it was different. But to me that didn't matter because it's Chelle. Let me tell you, I wasn't expecting what I read. It is so very different from anything she's written but I have to say, it's the best kind of different.

By chapter 2, I knew I was going to fall in love with this book, hard. I felt like I was falling down the rabbit hole and that this book would stay with me for a very long time. And by the end, I fell in love with Chelle's writing all over again but in a different way.

Enshrine is one of those books you don't expect. It hits you in the heart and you sit there hoping and waiting and wishing, that you get the outcome you want. You fall deeply in love with a set of characters and you want everything for them.

Blind Reality by Heidi McLaughlin

The number one sign of an awesome book is getting to the end and trying to turn to more pages. Not because it was incomplete but because you love the story so much, you just want more.

Heidi McLaughlin hit it out of the park with Blind Reality. She took a concept I hadn't read before and had me messaging her at the end needing more. Not only did I fall in love with Joey and Joshua, but the whole cast. Their relationship with each other was awesome. There was angst, but it was natural. There was love, but it was natural. There was drama, but it was natural. Everything that was there, needed to be there. It wasn't there just to be there and create situations for them. It was there to make a story that could be real life.

From page one, Heidi had me not able to put down this book. I wanted to absorb this story and I couldn't get it through it fast enough. And while it can be read as standalone, I believe, you will be like me, and eagerly waiting to get more.
