Oh Brody. Brody Brody Brody. He just makes my little heart so happy. When I read Room for You last year, I fell completely, head over heels, ridiculously in love with Brody and Kacie. But I think I had forgotten. I forgot how romantic he is, how loyal he is, how great they are together, how adorable the Twinkies are. I’m SO glad I had a reminder in the form of Room for More.
What to say about this book. First, you need to read Room for You beforehand. I guess maybe you could get away with reading Room for More first but then you’d be missing out on the sweet story of how Kacie and Brody met. And you don’t wanna do that, I promise.
So assuming you’ve read Room for You, you already know Kacie, Brody, the Twinkies, and the whole gang. It was so great to start a new book with all of these characters. When I finished book 1, I wasn’t ready to let everyone go yet. They had become like real life friends, so to start book 2 made me go eeeek! They didn’t let me down.
Where the first time around, it was will they/won’t they. She didn’t want to let anyone in because of her past. He had never had a relationship before and WANTED this with Kacie so bad he couldn’t stand it. This time around, it’s so much more. More romance, more swoonworthy moments, more conflict, more heartbreak. Just more of every emotion you can imagine feeling. In Room for More, they’re dealing with outside conflict. You meet Zach (and as weird as it is, you kind of like him almost. Strange right? You'll see) and there’s the question of whether Brody will get traded or not. Plus Brody and Kacie may be keeping a secret or two from one another, and you'll see what comes of that. There's a lot of angst in this one and I LOVE angst, so it was right up my alley. It's not all perfection, and I loved having to go through those situations with them.
There was a moment where I had to message Beth and threaten to flip to the end. It was THAT squirm-worthy. It was perfect and exactly what I hoped the sequel would be. The writing was amazing and the characters were still just as wonderful as they were before. They have one of the sweetest stories and Room for More just made it that much sweeter. I loved this book! <3
