I’ve been waiting for Diamonds and Dust since I read the Saddles and Sins. That tiny bit of a preview made me so excited for it. And Jessie Evans did not disappoint.
This book was everything I hoped it would be. There was love, there was angst, there was forgiveness. At a point where most authors would have turned it around and took it a different direction, Jessie righted a wrong in a perfect way. Vague much? I know but if I told you, it would give away way too much.
This is a book about second chances. To erase 7 years of hurt and pain and turn it back to love. And to me, Jessie did it in a perfect way. Tulsi had guilt that ate away at her for 7 years. And Pike had every reason to leave Tulsi. But he realized the guilt she had. And he realized that he loved her too much to walk away. And I think the best thing was that he never held it against Tulsi. He could have. Very much so. And it would have been understandable. But he realized love was more important. And being a family is what he really wanted.
I totally love this series. And I can’t wait to read more. Each book is better than the last. And the angst, while there, doesn’t overwhelm the over feel of the book. Its not the most important thing. The deep down love is what is.
