RoomHate. What to say about RoomHate. I guess I'll jump right in and say I liked. But I didn't love it. The story idea was originally. I did fall in love with the characters and the angst and the love. They alone made this book un-put-downable. I couldn't get enough of the hate that turned to love that turned to family and ever after. But it was the writing that got to me.
After read Stepbrother Dearest, I fell in love with Penelope Ward's writing. But to me, RoomHate fell short. Many times it felt choppy and unorganized. And maybe it was just me who felt that way. Maybe it was because I was reading an ARC. I do want to go back and read the finished project. See if it changes my mind. Because I truly loved everything about this book but the way it was written.
I am still eager to read more from Penelope. She writes books that are unique and draw me in. Her characters are awesome and relatable. Even with not liking the writing, she still made me love 2 characters.
