I love MC books. Absolutely love them. And this one was no different. I actually finished it in one afternoon. I just couldn’t put it down. Its not as hard and brash as other MC books but I didn’t miss it. You still had your hard talking, cussing, womanizing guys but there was just something different.
Delilah aka Doll is a princess of the Hellion MC. Her father, Roundman, is the president of the Hellions. She grew up in the life. She doesn’t hold back, she speaks her mind, and has no problem putting all the tough guys in their place.
Tripp is the President of a chapter of the Hellions. Tripp hasn’t had the greatest life. His mother had him young, couldn’t handle it and left him on and off with is grandparents. When his grandparents died, he went wild, drinking, drugs, women, you name it. Roundman found him, and took him under his wing. And Tripp thrived in the MC.
When Doll is threatened, she needs to leave. And quick. And Tripp is the man who is given that job. And one thing leads to another.
I connected with Delilah. I really loved her and her outspokenness. And Tripp, Tripp was sweet and caring and he won’t want me saying any other those things about him but really they are true. While he denied his feelings for Doll, he protected her, not just because he had to, but because he wanted to. Even from himself.
This book fulfilled my need for an MC book but wasn’t as hard hitting as some others. I don’t want to call it light and fluffy because it wasn’t. It was just different and refreshing.
