Synopsis
Ava Gilmore has the perfect life. She’s surrounded by people who love her, she’s having sex on a regular basis and her Coach bag collection just grew by three. The problem? She’s expected to follow in her family’s footsteps at Seduction and Snacks, working with sex toys and baked goods.
Ava loves vibrators and cupcakes as much as the next person, she’d just rather play with them than sell them. With her shopping addiction reaching an all time high and her credit card bills piling up, Ava decides to put her obsession to good use and start a fashion blog. But she has one other problem - the guy she’s having sex with has a My Little Pony addiction.
While dealing with her family’s disappointment and confusion over her choices, she finds support in the unlikeliest of places – Tyler Branson. Tyler has slowly wormed his way into her bed, her a$$ and her heart and he refuses to leave. Tyler has his own family problems to deal with and for the first time ever, Ava finds herself feeling bad for the annoying, immature guy and chanting “Friendship is magic!” during the sex she’d swore to stop having with him.
Ava needs to get her life in order once and for all before she finds herself doing something she never wanted to do – fall in love with a Brony.

Review
I’m going to be super short and quick to the point with this review. I don’t know if it has been said on the page but I’m a huge Tara Sivec fan. If I get started trying to go into all of the characters, writing style, character development, plot twists and turns, etc then this review will end up being 10 pages long.
Tara Sivec is a genius. That’s basically it. Assuming you already know her writing style and what type of books she writes (laughing so hard you cry, stomach pains from hysterically laughing for too long, etc), then you probably also already know these characters. Although the main characters are the children of the originals we all know and love, the story is just as great as Chocolate Lovers. Passion and Ponies focuses on Ava, Liz’s daughter, and Tyler, Gavin’s goofy best friend. Going back to the first line in this paragraph, about Tara being a genius? Okay well she is anyway, but for this specific review, here’s why: she makes you fall in love with Tyler. The story of Ava and Tyler is adorable. She’s stuck living her mother’s dream rather than going for what she wants in life. He has daddy issues (amongst other things. The guy is CRAZY). They use each other for sex but it might be a bit more than that. The entire story is just so funny and SO much fun to read.
It was also great catching up with the gang. Claire, Liz, and Jenny. I swear, their antics will never get old. Ever. Also Gavin and Charlotte are still adorable and comical. It’s still a bit weird for me to read about Gavin and imagine him being an adult. In my mind, he will forever be the kid in the Barney incident. I just love them all. I wish I had friends as wacky as this group is.
As far as writing, it’s Tara Sivec. Enough said, right? She’s amazing. I’m fairly certain she could rewrite the phone book and I would laugh nonstop. She’s so good at what she does.
This review wasn’t really helpful at all, it was mainly me fangirling over one of my favorite authors. I’m sorry it wasn’t more helpful. Just take this one tidbit from this review – Passion and Ponies is pure 100% Tara Sivec. It’s hilarious, and it’s the perfect combination of sweet, serious, and crazy. The characters are fantastic and you’ll be sad when you turn to the last page. Go one click it. You’ll love it, I’m positive. And this wasn’t a short review. I just couldn’t stop typing!
