I enjoyed the two previous books, but this one was my favorite. It tied up a lot of loose ends in their story. It centers A LOT around Ella, but also Ella & Micha as a couple and their future.
I love that you see so much growth in them as a couple, but especially Ella. She has grown and matured so much from the first book. This book deals a lot with Ella learning about her mother – Her mother’s happiness and how Ella’s own life compares or not. She’s worried about her future with Micha. She knows how her mother was – Will she be that way? She’s scared, and in this book, she works through that fear, with Micha’s help.
And Micha! So dreamy. He always has been but geez, in this book, he’s just fantastic. His love for Ella never wavers. He’s willing to give up his dream just to be with her (if needed). All he wants is his happily ever after with Ella and nothing else compares to that. Usually if an author tries to make the male be that head over heels in love, it comes across as cheesy and too sappy. There’s definitely no shortage of sappiness but Micha’s feelings seemed believable to me. He’s just…*sigh*, ya know?
It’s not all sappy or depressing. You also get the funny moments, the Feisty Ella moments, the naughtiness a tiny bit. I think it’s just the right combination to make a gorgeous story. I think I could read about this couple forever and be content. I’m so sad it’s over but the fact that they got to the point that they do by the end, makes it all alright. <3
