I’m going to be honest with you, I don’t know how this review is going to sound. I don’t know if its going to make sense. But hopefully you’ll bare with me. I am a lover of all things by Tille Cole. I’ve reviewed her books before and if you go back and read them, you’ll see that. But there was something about Sweet Hope. Something that grabbed me. Took ahold of me and wouldn’t let go. Maybe because its the last book in the Sweet Home series. Maybe because it is now my favorite Tillie book. Half way through it jumped straight to the top. Maybe because Tillie just knows how to write a damn good book. Maybe its just all of the above. But Sweet Hope is amazing. It gives you the feels. It made me cry more than once for more than one reason. The story killed me. The bonus chapter gutted me. But as much as it sucks to say goodbye to them, I’m content. I’m ok with it. Doesn’t mean I already didn’t ask Tillie about a book for Levi. But no, its done and I’ll have to live with that.
So back to Sweet Hope. I already warned Tillie that there will be cursing involved. And she told be to go for it. So I’m warning you, I might go for it.

Sweet Hope is an awesome fucking book. I mean it. Seriously. I started making notes after each chapter. And most of them said somewhere along the lines fucking powerful, fucking amazing, what the fuck? I think you catch the drift. But as I sit here, wanting to tell you all about Sweet Hope, it occurs to me that I can’t. I can’t really tell you anything. Why you ask? Because of Elpidio’s true identity. If I told you anything about the book and the circumstances, it would give it away. You find out early in the book who he is. I was able to guess it. But only because I’ve read the whole series. Tillie doesn’t hide it. But you’ll only guess early if you’ve read the rest of the series.
So what can I say. Ummm...chapter 18, powerful. It gutted me. It made me think. It was one of the breaking points of the book. There are a few. There are a lot of interconnected storylines and relationships within this book. All between the two main characters, Aly and Elpi and the extended family/friends. But really, if you know anything about the Sweet Home series, you know that even though they are friends, they are family. They made their own family with those around them.
The bonus chapter. Well that made it all ok. There is a speech during it that sums up the series perfectly. It made me cry. Honest to god crocodile tears running down my face. My ipad died and you should have seen me. I almost broke it. But then I picked my phone up right away and finished reading one of the most amazing books I’ve ever read and said goodbye to one of my most favorite cast of characters in one of my most favorite series I’ve read.
As sad as it is to say goodbye to the Sweet Home characters, I feel at ease with it. Tille Cole did an amazing job a wrapping it up in a powerful way. The healing, the friendships, the commitments. You know they go on.
