Dark and mysterious versus light and loving. That is Strong Enough by M. Leighton. Heart racing versus heart swooning. That is Strong Enough by M. Leighton. Suspenseful versus sexy. That is Strong Enough by M. Leighton. I was taken on such a rollercoaster reading this book. It was all over the place but in a way that made perfect sense. This one a imperfect love story.
Jasper is dark, brooding and a killer. Muse is light, airy and an artist. He was sent to save her but she ended up saving him. To watch Jasper be so conflicted about falling in love when you saw that’s exactly what was happening. It was very much his destiny. From the first time he saw her and she saw him, you knew that what was going to happen would change both of them and not necessarily for the better. But in the end, love. Pure love. And the epilogue was perfection. It showed the transformation. It showed Jasper coming out of the dark and into Muse’s light.

M. Leighton kept the suspense going the entire book. You never knew what was going to happen. At times, it felt choppy to me. But even with some imperfections, I didn’t want to put this book down. And while love prevailed, you never quite knew if it was going to. At one point, I wasn’t sure how this was going to be a standalone. But love worked out in the end. And the suspense. Well, that is going to continue.
