Have you ever fallen in love with a book from the first word? The first sentence? The first chapter? I'm sure you have. It's happened to me before and I’m sure it will happen to me again, but the feelings I got from the first word, the first sentence, the first chapter and all the way to the last chapter, the last sentence and the last word, Ride Steady will forever be one of my top books. Kristen Ashley has a way with word like no other author I’ve read. They way she takes your hand, eases you in, makes you fall in love with her characters, gives you angst, gives so much in one book that you didn’t even know you wanted or needed, is so unique.
Ride Steady is the continuation of the Chaos series. You see the same issues facing the Club that you saw during the previous books. But in Ride Steady, you get to know Joker and met Carissa. And their story is so unique. In many ways, Ride Steady is a second chance romance. Joke and Carissa were never together but they should have been. And when they met again, years after they had last seen each other, there is no holding back.

During Ride Steady you get the alpha male, you get the angst, you get the sweet women, you get the gang. You see so many of your favorites from past Kristen books. You catch up with them, you realize why you love them and you are so glad they not only are the guys tight, the women are tighter. And that they have no issues taking another into their fold. And while Kristen Ashley books are about the relationship between two people, they are also about the friendships.
To me, Kristen Ashley can do no wrong. She has the alphas down to perfections, whether they are cops, private investigators, commandos, bikers or just regular guys who love their women. And the women she writes, while they aren’t perfect, she makes them perfect for their men and the situations they find themselves in. She knows how to write relationships. They are never perfect but they always work, they are always happy, they are always loving. And Ride Steady is testament to that.
