I was apprehensive to read November 9. When Colleen Hoover’s last book, Confess, came out, I devoured it like I do all of her books. But I didn’t love it. I liked it. It was ok. It didn’t do what ever other Colleen book has done to me. And honestly,I was worried. Worried about myself. Worried that I’d never love another Colleen book again. Worried that, to me, Colleen wasn’t going to get any better.
But then I read November 9. And not only I am no longer worried. Not only has it skyrocketed to my favorite Colleen book of all time. It has pushed P.S. I Love You out of my #1 favorite book ever and taken over that spot by a mile. That is a spot no other book has even come close to since P.S. I Love You went there 12 years ago.
Hoover outdid herself with November 9. It isn’t just a book, it’s a journey. It’s a book within a book. It is a tragedy. It is a comedy. It is perfection.
