No. No. I won’t accept that this is the end of this series. I can’t. I won’t. I’m not above begging Emma Hart for more. Especially more of Reid and Ever’s story. The beginning, middle and end were utterly perfect. In fact, the epilogue made me squeal with joy and shed a few happy tears.
This has become my favorite book out of the 3. I fell in love with Reid. I fell in love with Everleigh. I fell in love with Leo. It had the ups and downs that every book needs but Emma took it to another level. I don’t know what it was but I just couldn’t put this book down. It held my attention from the first page and kept it until the last. In fact, I actually squealed during the epilogue. But Emma, that epilogue was cruel. It was a tease. It left me wanting so much more. Not just of Ever and Reid, but of Leah and Corey and Macey and Jack. You teased about all three couples and thats just cruel.
Ever and Reid’s story is very much a second chance romance mixed with a friends to lovers romance. They were best friends growing up. But they were also in love with each other but never told each other. Reid is 4 years older than Ever and wanted to wait until she was 18 to say or even do anything to show her that he loved her. But Ever left for college before he had the chance. And now she’s back. And those feelings, they are still there. And there is no stopping them.

I loved every element of this book. The relationship between Reid and Ever, the relationship between Reid and his 7 year old son, Leo, and Ever and Leo’s relationship. I love how Emma made all of those relationships. They built the foundations of what will be a happily ever after.
I can’t believe this is the end of the By His Game series. It satisfied me at the same time left me craving more. But I know, unless Emma surprises us all, that this is the end. And I am ok with it. But to me, it shows how awesome an author is when you are left begging for more.
