This is a really hard review for me to write. I love JB Salsbury and her fighting boys. But Fighting for Forever just didn’t do it for me. To me there was something missing. Something that makes Jamie’s books Jamie’s. There were at times that I even felt it wasn’t her writing it. It didn’t flow the same, it didn’t feel the same and I couldn’t connect with Mason and Trix like I did the other characters. I did finish the book but there were times I questioned whether or not I could. In the end, I was glad I did. I liked seeing the conclusion of their story. But it took me a lot to get there.
When hearing that Mason’s book was next, I was excited. I was looking forward to meeting Baywatch. But in the end, I didn’t really like him. He was a bit all over the place. His moods were crazy. And I don’t think he is like that. I get the possessiveness he feels over Trix. But the switch in his moods were so fast, I got dizzy. At times they felt unnatural.
Trix was awesome though. I had issues with certain pieces of her personality also but not as much as Mason’s. The reason behind so many of her actions were admirable.
The ending was my favorite part. It brought a lot of the background full circle. While I’m glad I made it to the epilogue, I’m sad about my feelings for the rest of the book.

I want to state that I read an ARC. One that I believe was going through the final editing process. I do have plans to read the final book, hoping that there is a difference.
