Do you ever have that weird conflicting feeling of having so much to say, but feeling completely at a loss for words at the exact same time? That’s me, right now. I’m amazed, wowed, and completely shaken by how terrific Deep Blue Eternity is, but I’m also wondering why in the hell it took me so long. If you have this one on your Kindle, stop waiting.
This story isn’t rainbow and sunshine. It’s dark. It’s scary in some parts. It’s painful in others. But it’s all of those qualities that make the entire book so addictive, real, and will keep you reeling long after the last page. I find myself still thinking about these characters, Liv and Tommy, and their struggles. Their search for a future and escaping the past was beautiful, albeit not easy. The angst, tension, and need for that romantic connection was strong, but maybe not as strong as just wanting the very best for them. You want them to be okay. No, you NEED them to be okay. That should say enough; that I’m talking about them as if they’re my own family, but that’s how it feels. You’ll become so involved with their lives, you won’t be able to help but feel connected to the two main characters, along with the supporting characters. You’ll feel every minute of worry, fear, heartbreak, and every emotion in between as these broken characters try to overcome their demons, together or apart.

We’ve all had an ugly cry. Some of us cry happy tears. I found myself wanting to cry for those reasons plus many more with Deep Blue Eternity. It’s so very emotional, and will take a toll on your heart. There are many factors in this story. The past. The future. The lies. The revealing of the truth. The search for safety, and finding someone to feel that with. All of this will make you tear up and will hit you, somehow someway. Be ready.
Some authors are given this amazing gift. This gift to transport you to some place entirely separate from the world you live and breathe in. They have the talent to not only write incredible words on a page, but to make those characters, places, and emotions come to life. We all have our favorites. Natasha Boyd is one of those for me. It feels as if she calculates every word that’s written, knowing that it flows exactly as it should. Everything fits. Everything meshes. Her writing style, attention to detail, and overall flare can’t be beat. She proves it with Deep Blue Eternity.
Overall, Deep Blue Eternity isn’t your conventional sugary sweet romance, but it’s the unique storyline that will make you fall in love with this book. With realistic, developed characters, a complex storyline, and flawless writing, this is one that can’t be missed. It will certainly be in my top favorites of the year, but even more, it’s a new forever favorite.
