Very few authors make me read a book in one sitting. One author I can always count on to do that is Harper Sloan. And once again, she did, with Bleeding Love. I have now read 8 books by Harper and I can say for a fact, I have never loved every single couple an author writes, until Harper. With each book I read, I swear I love this couple more then the last. And this is so true with Liam and Megan. They are now my favorite Harper couple.
Harper writes characters that even if you haven’t gone through the same situations as her characters, you can identify with them. There are pieces of each character within you. And even though I haven’t gone through anything near what Megan has gone through, I identified with her so much. Harper makes her characters jump off the pages where you want to hug them, kiss them (especially the guys), and love them, like they were your friends. There is just something about her writing.
Megan from day one, hasn’t had an easy life. And while Molly, her daughter, makes everything worth living, I don’t know how she has held it together so well. Even though she isn’t really living. And then Liam comes along. And you see her start living again. Each piece starts to come together. It’s slow and denies it at first, but she eventually she gives in.

Liam is Liam. I don’t know quite how to describe him. He is insistent. He knows what he wants and goes for it. It is able to break down Megan’s walls. He takes her as she is and helps heal her. And he loves Molly like she was his own. Does he have faults, yeah, everyone does. But the positives way outweigh the negatives.
Part of what I love about reading Harper’s books is seeing everyone. It’s like coming home to old friends. You sit around, drink a little and catch up. You love seeing them and getting to know them better. Harper excels at writing couples but she also excels are writing families and friends. The bonds she makes between her characters is unique. And that’s what makes me love Harper so much.
