Reviews
I always say, “Oh yeah, this review will be short and sweet”, but it ends up being a page long. I’m serious with this one… I have to make myself keep this short and sweet.
This book is the perfect storm of romance, passion, mystery, and suspense. It’s angsty and will have you squirming. The storyline will grab you and not let go. It’s HOT. It’s just…there are so many words! SO MANY WORDS!
This book is a fantastic debut novel. It doesn’t read like a debut novel. The writing is so good. The descriptions, the dialogue, the storyline. It all feels as if you’re reading work from an experienced author. It’s amazing that it’s Leighton’s first try at this, and I think it was an unbelievable beginning to her career.
I feel a bit biased with my review because Leighton is a good friend of mine, but I know that as a blogger, it’s my duty to be honest with you. So here’s my honesty. I hated the ending. I liked this book SO much and was completely into it…until the ending. Did it change how I felt about the book as a whole? Well no, of course not. You can’t deny how great the writing is or how enthralling Payton and Ryder’s story is. But it definitely changed how I felt when I finished. And I hate that because I wanted to walk away 100% loving it. I can honestly say, I walked away enjoying 99% of it.
Overall, I highly suggest this novel. It’s got a bit of everything we all love and expect from our romance novels. I can’t wait to see what Leighton has in store for Tristen in book 2.

Honestly, I’m not sure how I feel about this book. The story idea was really good, the writing was good but it was the way it was put together that I didn’t like. Its from both of the main characters POVs and I usually like that, but for Sinfully it didn’t work.
I think the main issue on why it didn’t work was the jumping of the timeline. In my opinion, it would have been better as 2 books. One from Ryder’s POV and the other from Payton’s. That way, when the timeline skipped in one of their POV’s and not the others, it wouldn’t have mattered. The timeline would jump in one POV and not the others, within the same chapter.
In my opinion, this book still needs work. It has good bones to it. But just needs some work. The ending didn’t make sense. I actually felt it was awkward and forced and then turned cruel. And then just stopped. It just ended.

Author Info
Texas born and raised, I found my love for dirty books rather recently. I work in real estate for my normal job and I write contemporary romance. I plan on having Sinfully be the first of three in its series. I would like to do a standalone after, but we’ll see! I love sweet tea (made right!), cookie cake, and anything with chocolate and peanut butter. I have a few guys at my gym that are my TDF’s (tall, dark, and fuckable) but also have a HSB (Hot Sauna Boy), because let’s be honest, they’re my motivation while I’m there! I go to Las Vegas often but I swear I don’t have as much fun as Payton does. Although, if I found myself a Tate there, I might change my opinion!
Authors such as Katy Evans, SE Hall, Angela Graham, Jasinda Wilder, and Jillian Dodd have been a large influence on me and I’m forever grateful. I decided to write Sinfully on Black Friday in November 2013, on a whim. I thought I’d get bored after a few pages but was captivated by the characters and it developed into something I am truly proud of. When it comes to book boyfriends, I love those who are strong but with a little imperfection or tragedy in their past (Remy, Kellan, Q, Twitch are just a few of my favorites). I LOVE talking to my readers so feel free to message me on Facebook.
