Hey everyone!
I'm Jamie and co-blogger with Erin and Katie. I also have a tendency to ramble, word vomit, say what comes to mind, etc. Just a fair warning:)
Erin and I started this crazy book journey together when we kept talking about books we had been reading (more her to me than anything bc I was busy working tons of OT and prego). She started getting me into the blogger/indie book world during this. We talked briefly about our own blog but were iffy if we could do it with our crazy schedules. I got to go to my first Indie author signing with her in October and met a lady we ended up co-blogging with briefly before jumping ship and doing our own thing. We were extremely lucky and grateful (still very grateful) we got to expand our partnership by having Katie join us. She's hilarious to talk to and loves book as much as we do. Not only that, she's a long lost friend we didn't know we'd lost. She's seriously amazing and a great new friend to have.
So fast forward - Erin, with her ridiculously crazy good author connections, decided we could pull off a signing! Lol. Now we are planning this massive and amazing signing next year and it can't get here fast enough!
Other book nerdiness about me now would be I'm not new to being a book nerd. I have been one my whole life (including advanced classes in school for it) and had my first author signings in 3rd and 4th grade. You remember the Accelerated Reader Program? Yea...I won two years in a row a my school so I got to meet authors and do a luncheon thing with them :). Still exciting to think about really, lol.
I was suppose to go to Austin next weekend but can't now for personal reasons. However I am super excited to get my books signed by authors I have gotten the pleasure of reading and even talking to some. I'm still such a newbie to the Indie romance world so sadly it's not a ton of books I'm getting signed. I do get to attend several more signings this year so by then I should be able to get a ton more signed:). Between Erin, Katie, and the constant new releases along with older books, I have a TBR list a mile long that'd take me 5 years reading non-stop to get through!
I love getting to explore these new authors' books and see the "growing" process they go through and that we get to help them do that. Many authors compare their books to having a baby and it really is. Of course, you don't want to be the person saying someone has and ugly baby...lol. Thankfully, I really haven't had to do that, so whew!
Ok, I rambled horribly and I think this is enough for this week's post! Lol. Everyone enjoy your weekend!!
