Synopsis
The man was sinful. It wasn't just the looks that made him dangerous, it was the cocky confidence that dominated every move, every touch. And the frustrating yet ecstatic fact about the whole package was that he could back it all up…
Julia Campbell never knows what to expect with win-at-all-costs Brad De Luca. And she's starting to like it that way. She gave up safe, conventional relationships when she let the elite divorce attorney seduce her into his world. Now that he's determined to strip her naked of every inhibition, she's in danger of falling too deep and too fast.
But their affair begins to feel even more dangerous when a murder leaves a trail of suspicion that points straight to the mob…and Brad. Trusting a man with a bad reputation and a past full of secrets seems like a mistake. But when she's forced to make a choice, the consequences will take her further than she could ever have imagined.

Review
Once again, Alessandra Torre has made me fall completely in love with one of her books, two actually this time. I hadn’t read Blindfolded Innocence when I signed up for this review, so I was able to read both this past week to prepare for the blog tour. Blindfolded didn’t grab me and suck me in like her previous books did, and I was a bit worried about that. It was definitely a slow burner, but the closer it got towards the end, the more it picked up. By the last page, I couldn’t wait to start Masked. So as a warning, you do absolutely need to read Blindfolded Innocence before starting Masked Innocence. You will be confused without it.
So on to Masked. Seriously, way to go Alessandra Torre. This book was amazing. Torre is so good at blending erotica with mystery and suspense. There are so many “What if’s” in this book, and they aren’t the same types you usually have with this genre. Masked was intriguing, different, and just completely enthralling. Her characters are well developed and the writing is great (as always.)
You have Julia, an intern at a law firm just trying to gain some experience and recommendations for law school. She’s sweet, inexperienced with relationships, but also feisty and a smartass. I completely love her. Add in Brad, a partner at the law firm who is known for his womanizing ways. He’s a charmer, sexy, successful, and always gets what he wants. Watching their relationship grow into what it does was so sweet. I would even use the word romantic, which you wouldn't assume could be possible in the beginning of the book. They both open up to one another and make huge strides in their relationship with this book. Toss in her boss, some coworkers, a swinger lifestyle, and the mob and ta-dah! You have Masked Innocence.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It kept me interested and needing to know what happens. It was a roller coaster, but the best kind. Just about the time you’d get kind of comfortable with one situation in their relationship, she’d toss you for a loop and add in more. I love that Torre entwines mystery into her books, and she does it so well. I highly recommend both books in this series, and cannot wait for The End of Innocence.

Excerpt
My orgasm was long, hard, and insanely good – visions filling my head, my eyes opening intermittently seeing faces, hearing words, knowing that a room was watching – the knowledge stretching out the orgasm, and I was close to sobbing when it ended, my body collapsed against him, legs useless.
I sagged in his arms, my thighs wet, body quaking. I had just come, in front of this whole room, men staring, my breasts hanging out, my panties ripped and tossed on the floor. I should have felt like a slut, a dirty whore. But instead I felt liberated, aroused. It was an interesting discovery, to know that I liked being dirty. I wanted to be stared at, pointed to, to have men lining up to fuck me. Inside, I felt a release of some tie, some leash undone, and I knew my descent into sexual awareness was just now starting. I wasn’t sure if I could ever tie it back into orderly place.
